This Easter holiday, Grŵp Cynefin enjoyed a fun-filled and meaningful day out during our Easter Themed Wellbeing Walk.
We kicked things off with a colourful Easter Egg Hunt, where eggs were hidden around the park. Each one contained a quiz question on topics like sleep, meditation, mental health, screen time, and lifestyle choices. As they discovered each egg, the young people took time to read and reflect on the questions together, leading to some brilliant conversations about wellbeing. It was great to see them share their ideas and listen to each other in such an open and respectful way.
After the hunt, we set off on a gentle Wellbeing Walk around the park. The sun began to shine, spirits were high, and everyone took the chance to socialise, explore, and play together on the park equipment. Staff encouraged mindfulness throughout the walk — focusing on what they could see, hear, and feel around them — helping to build awareness of the present moment and the world around them.
We then paused for a much-needed lunch break at the onsite café, where everyone had some lunch and recharged for the afternoon.
In the second half of the day, we got creative with a Logo Brainstorming Session for Grŵp Cynefin. Armed with pens, pencils, and paper, the young people jumped straight into designing their own logo ideas. As they drew, conversations naturally flowed — including heartfelt discussions about what 'cynefin' means to them. The ideas were thoughtful, creative, and really captured the spirit of belonging and community that Grŵp Cynefin stands for. We’re excited to shortlist the designs soon!
To finish off the day, each young person was given a chocolate Easter egg as a thank-you for their amazing participation and positive energy throughout the day.
