Gwent Ngage held a Christmas event at our offices on Lower Dock Street, Newport. Five young people attended, including two from activities and three from transitions, along with our volunteer Rin.
The young people took part in a Christmas themed paint-along session, where they chose to paint a penguin. Everyone engaged well in the activity and had a lot of fun throughout. It was great to see the paintings come together, each reflecting individual styles and creativity.
Pizza and hot chocolates were provided for everyone, and at the end of the session the young people were gifted self-care packs. These included items such as colouring journals, face packs, and drink cups, which were well received by all.
The event ran from 4pm to 7pm, with young people being dropped home afterwards.
During the session, many of the young people had the opportunity to speak with Rin, our volunteer, and Lou from the training team about YAS. Several expressed an interest in getting involved in the New Year.
