Gwent Ngage held a Christmas event at our offices on Lower Dock Street, Newport. Five young people attended, including two from activities and three from transitions, along with our volunteer Rin.
Gwent N-gage were recently involved in Barod’s popular ‘Manifesto Webinar Series’. Service Manager Hannah, alongside one of our wonderful volunteers, highlighted the importance of young people being actively involved in service design and delivery.

Gwent Drug and Alcohol Family Service (GDAFS) welcomed families to the Ebbw Vale Institute (EVI) for a special Family Fun Day.
This Easter holiday, Grŵp Cynefin enjoyed a fun-filled and meaningful day out during our Easter Themed Wellbeing Walk.
Gwent N-gage and GDAFS have been showing their support for PRIDE month this June.
The N-gage and GDAFS team took some much-needed time out for a wellbeing day at Barry Island Beach and engaged in beach yoga, games, walks, sea dips and a lunch of chips and ice-cream.
Young people and adults from N-gage and GDAFS have taken part in this year’s Mike Parry Art Award Competition, created in memory of Mike Parry — a support worker for Barod and artist who inspired many through his passion and creativity.
Over the Easter break, Gwent N-gage and GDAFS teamed up to host a fun-filled Geocaching activity for young people from both strands.
During the October half-term, the Activities & Wellbeing team organised two exciting outings for the young people in our service.

We hosted a Wellbeing Day at Pencoed Fach Farm, where our service users participated in a variety of wellness activities.
On July 11th2024 members of the GDAFS team and their service users participated in Barod’s annual Recovery Walk up Pen-Y-Fan.
