Four families started a small self-help group in Ebbw Vale supported by a nurse from the North Gwent Drug Service. Mike Blanche volunteered to meet with parents wgho were affected by a family members drug and/or alcohol use, providing a listening ear and limited support. This covered the Blaenau Gwent area.
